Rocky areas. Areas with rodent infestations. Heavy vegetation. STEP 2: Control: Be familiar with field treatment of snakebites. Educate personnel on avoiding snakes and preventing snakebites. Prevent and control rodents (food sources for snakes) around camps and bivouac sites. Exclude snakes from buildings.
